Pathway / Special Entry
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Engineering Pathway (334141)
This pathway is for you if you haven't completed your preferred engineering degree's prerequisite high school courses (for example Specialist Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry) or achieved the required Selection rank.
The pathway enables you to complete the required prerequisite subjects as part of your first year, alongside first year engineering courses. Then, once you've successfully completed the prerequisite subjects, you'll be able to transfer into your engineering degree of choice.
Bachelor of Science (314581)
If you would like to study the Bachelor of Science (314581) but did not achieve a Selection Rank greater than or equal to 65 you may be eligible for alternative entry through an interview. If you can answer yes to ALL of the following, please contact us at email@example.com or (08) 8313 5673 to confirm your eligibility and to arrange an interview.
- I want to study the Bachelor of Science and have listed it as one of my preferences
- I achieved an ATAR between 60 and 64.95
- I achieved a C+ or higher for two science subjects at school (can include one mathematics subject)
Faculty of Science [Named Degree] Pathway
If you had one of the following named degrees as your preference, but either did not complete the prerequisite subject(s) or achieve a high enough Selection Rank, we offer a pathway into your chosen degree via the Bachelor of Science. You will need to include the Bachelor of Science (314581) as your highest preference on your SATAC application form. Once you receive an offer into the Bachelor of Science we will advise you on course requirements which may allow you to transfer to the named degree prior to commencing your second year of study.*

- Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science)
- Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology)
- Bachelor of Science (High Performance Computational Physics) (Honours)
- Bachelor of Science (Mineral Geoscience)
- Bachelor of Science (Space Science and Astrophysics)
*The ability to transfer to one of the above degrees after your first year of study is based on successful completion of required subjects (credit average).
