ARC Training Centre
for Innovative Wine Production
Welcome to the Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Centre for Innovative Wine Production.
Based at The University of Adelaide's Waite Campus, the Industrial Transformation Training Centre (ITTC) for Innovative Wine Production will provide new knowledge, methods and technologies as well as highly skilled PhD and postdoctoral researchers to tackle the main challenges for the Australian wine industry.
The Centre was originally funded by the ARC in the first round of the Industrial Transformation Training Centre Program in 2013. The key objectives were to better manage flavour and alcohol content in Australian wines. This website highlights the activities of the first Centre.
The Centre was successful in a re-bid for a further ARC funded ITTC project in 2017. Over the next five years this new Centre will tackle new and age-old challenges to wine production through innovative, multi-disciplinary research with a focus on sustainably boosting sector profitability and resilience to industry challenges.
The new Centre will officially be launched in early June 2018 and a new website is currently under development.
