Training Rooms

The two training rooms are located on the North Terrace campus on Level 2 of the Oliphant Building.

To get to the training rooms, take the lift located at the north end of the building. The rooms are at the far end of the corridor.

  • Can I use the training rooms?

    Yes, subject to availability, and if scheduled around the IT Training Team's use of these rooms.

    To find out if we can accommodate you, please send us an email detailing which room you would like to use, dates and times, and a brief explanation of what you would like to use the room for. You can also call us to discuss the use of training rooms.

  • Room 213: small group discovery room

    Room 213 is fitted out as a small group discovery room

    This training room has a layout designed to enhance small group discovery sessions. This encourages collaboration and the development of self-sufficiency when learning, and fosters equality between instructor and student.

    This facility includes:

    • 4 small group discovery pods with a large wall mounted monitor at each
    • 24 laptops with wireless mice
    • presenter PC and lectern
    • fixed and mobile whiteboards
    • small kitchen with tea / coffee making facilities

    This room is a big part of what makes our learner-centred approach to training possible.

  • Room 215: computer room

    Room 213 is fitted out as a computer room

    This room has been set up in a collegial fashion with computers grouped around a central table. The room contains the following:

    • 10 desktop computers with wireless mouse and keyboard
    • projector and drop down screen
    • fixed and mobile whiteboards
    • presenter PC and lectern
