Peer-to-Peer and Torrent File Sharing

To minimise violations of the IT Acceptable and Security Policy and ensure compliance with copyright legislation, the University will be blocking peer-to-peer file sharing programs (including BitTorrent) from 1st December, 2015.

For individuals requiring the use of peer-to-peer file sharing program for academic or research purposes, exceptions may be considered upon request to the Information Technology and Digital Service Desk.
