  • Why Waite campus?

The Waite campus, located just 15 mins from Adelaide CBD, has the largest concentration of expertise in the southern hemisphere in the areas of plant biotechnology, cereal breeding, sustainable agriculture, wine and horticulture, and land management. The 300-acre site is home to the University's Waite Research Institute, along with a collection of unique but highly connected research organisations and centres.

ThincLab Waite leverages the expertise located at the Waite by co-locating start-ups with some of the best researchers and students available in the agriculture, food and wine sectors. Key industry and other relevant organisations are also co-located at Waite including SARDI, CSIRO, the Australian Wine research institute, and FoodSA.
