ThincLab Canterbury is one of The University of Adelaide's international network of incubators working in partnership with the University of Canterbury.

Positioned within the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, and within one of Adelaide's sister cities, ThincLab Canterbury strengthens collaboration and opportunities between Australia and New Zealand. It provides:

  • capability building for founders and teams, 
  • connection to industry experts and agencies,
  • and pathways to growth and investment. 

ThincLab Canterbury will have a special focus on the Canterbury region’s super nodes which include: aerospace and future transport; food, fibre and agritech and health tech and high-tech services.

ThincLab Canterbury programs

ThincLab Canterbury offers a range of high intensity, KPI driven programs to help your startup grow and thrive, including:

  • Growth

    Our Scale and Grow programs are for founders and companies with a product or service in market, operating as a full-time venture with high levels of ambition and intention to scale their offering and expand into new markets. 

    Companies will work with dedicated ThincLab advisors for a longer-term six to twelve month incubation period with access to industry experts and complementary support organisations.

  • PACE

    A series of one-month long modules. Join weekly facilitated sessions with a small cohort of similar startups to promote practical, peer-to-peer learning through the use of business frameworks and group discussion. Featuring presentations and Q&As with industry experts and established founders. Topics include, strategy marketing and investment readiness.
