The Integrity Unit (IU) is being established to provide investigation, central reporting and management of complaint and misconduct matters, and deliver prevention and education measures for all members of the University community.
The Executive Director of the IU has recently been appointed, and is working with the Transforming Culture team and other internal stakeholders to finalise the operational aspects of the IU. During this transition period, information on how to make a complaint, report, disclosure or find information can be found on the reporting options or information and support sections of this website.
In its full capacity, the IU will be focused on responding to behavioural matters involving members of the University community. The IU will triage all complaints and disclosures received and elect to undertake an investigation, or work with other areas of the University or external parties to respond to reports in an appropriate, flexible, victim centric and procedurally fair approach.
The Integrity Unit will work collaboratively to design and implement additional preventative measures that contribute to the University of Adelaide’s commitment to a safe and inclusive culture. This will include the proactive distribution of information, education and advice, and proactive promotion of awareness programs, person-centred supports and embedding the University’s Values and Behaviours Framework.
The IU will also work collaboratively with other areas of the University to design and implement preventative measures that promote a safe and inclusive culture across the University.
The Integrity Unit Charter provides more detail about the roles and responsibilities of the IU.
