Reproduction Season 2023-2024

The Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital is thrilled to announce that our 2023-2024 Reproduction Season is confirmed.

We are fortunate to have Dr. Paul Lubbe join our team as a reproduction and primary opinion clinician who is able to conduct full breeding assessments, artificial inseminations, stallion training and further reproductive services, as well as general consultations and preventative health care.

Dr. Lubbe graduated from Onderstepoort Veterinary Faculty in South Africa in 2007. After a 3-year stint in a James Harriot style mixed rural practice, he immigrated to Australia and pursued a career in equine practice. He is most passionate about Equine Reproduction and Dentistry, and in 2015 he completed a post graduate certificate for Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Reproduction with the University of Liverpool. Dr. Lubbe has an excellent reputation and rapport with our local community, and we are so pleased to have him join our team.

We have reproduction facilities on-site including a dedicated laboratory for theriogenology with state-of-the-art equipment, an undercover area fitted with a dummy mare, several paddocks and sheltered yards as well as indoor, temperature-controlled stabling in the ICU barn. Our 24/7 Emergency Service, equipped with experienced specialist and hospital clinicians and stellar facilities, allows us to assess, treat and hospitalise any patients who require intensive care or monitoring in case the unexpected occurs with foaling.
