Google Analytics

Google Analytics tracks visitor activity to University pages.

Visitor statistics are collected by a tracking code and sent to Google’s servers, where the information is processed and inserted into reports. These reports can be viewed from the Google Analytics interface.

All University of Adelaide hosted sites have a Google Analytics tracking code installed, however not all sites have their own view. Where a website doesn't have it's own view, an automated report can be set up and sent to you from an overarching view.

Analytics allows you to report on the performance of your website and web pages. It is a powerful tool for understanding:

  • who is viewing your website
  • where they come from
  • what they are viewing, and
  • how the content is performing.
