End of year closure period 2023/24

WCCC will close at 1pm on Friday 22nd December 2023 and reopen at 9am on Monday 8th January 2024.

Waite Campus Childrens Centre is open from 8am until 6pm Monday to Friday.

The Centre provides an education and care service for children aged 3 months to school age including an integrated approved preschool program for eligible 4 year olds.

Regular permanent bookings are for a minimum of two full days up to full time.

Priority is given to all staff and students of the Waite Campus, including employees of University of Adelaide, CSIRO, SARDI, ACPFG, AWRI and other co-located organisations. Families from our local community and beyond also access our Service.

It is essential that you complete an expression of interest as early as possible and maintain regular email contact with the Centre, at least every 3 months.

We have a strengths based approach to learning with a strong focus on outdoor learning and education for sustainability and provide a range of learning environments.

WCCC provides healthy snacks and food across the day. We follow the guidelines of Nutrition Australia to ensure children are introduced to healthy eating.

We offer a Child Safe Environment. Please read our Code of Conduct for a Child Safe Organisation.

A small administration fee is charged on enrolment. Families using the Centre can apply for a Child Care Subsidy (CCS) through Centrelink.

Preschool: As part of the Commonwealth Government's Universal Access to preschool, Waite Campus Childrens Centre offers an integrated preschool program for children in the year before they commence school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am - 5pm during school terms.
