Biography/ Background

PhD Project Title:
The roles of seed banks and soil moisture in recruitment of semi-arid floodplain plants: the River Murray, Australia

Date: 29 March 2004 to 7 May 2008, graduated 22 December 2008

Thesis available at http://digital.library.adelaide.edu.au/dspace/handle/2440/49169

Research
This project focused on the processes and conditions for successful juvenile recruitment for dominant perennial species river red gum, black box and lignum on the Lower Murray floodplain, and how this knowledge can be used to direct effective use of environmental flows.

Supervisors:
Assoc Prof Keith Walker and Assoc Prof David Paton
