Biography/ Background

March 2010 - current: Postdoctoral researcher in aeroacoustics at the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide

Research topic: `The mechanics of quiet airfoils'

Research aims:

  • Develop an understanding, via wind tunnel testing, of the fundamental physics of turbulent trailing edge flow and noise generation
  • Provide validation data to assist in the development of new numerical models of
    turbulent trailing edge flow and noise production

Qualifications

2010: PhD in Engineering (School of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Adelaide) 

2005: Bachelor of Mechatronic Engineering with First Class Honours (The University of Adelaide)

2010: PhD thesis commendation from the Dean of Graduate Studies

2008: Acoustics 08 best paper in structural acoustics and vibration (second prize)

2006 - 2010: Australian Postgraduate Award
