Biography/ Background

Joshua Neoh received his LLB, with First Class Honours and the University Medal, from the Australian National University in 2010. He received his LLM from Yale Law School in 2011.

He was a summer research scholar at the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies at the Australian National University (Summer, 2007-08), a research intern at the Centre for International Law at the National University of Singapore (Summer, 2009-10), and an associate member of the Senior Common Room at St Benet’s Hall at the University of Oxford (Michaelmas Term, 2011).

Joshua Neoh has a trinity of interests in legal theory, the common law tradition and religion. He has previously written about law and religion in Malaysia. His current research examines the interplay of text, doctrine and tradition in legal and religious discourses.

He teaches Foundations of Law (Semester 1), Law and Religion (Winter School), and Administrative Law (Semester 2).
