Biography/ Background
After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1972, Kym spent 19 years in veterinary practice - 13 in mixed practice and six in sheep and cattle consulting practice. He then joined the University of Sydney Faculty of Veterinary Science as Lecturer, then Senior Lecturer in Sheep Medicine (1992-2001) before a three-year stint at the Royal Veterinary College, London.
From 2004-2011 he led the development of the new veterinary science program at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga first as Director of Veterinary Science then as Head of the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (2006-2011).
Kym joined the staff at the University of Adelaide in January 2011 as Professor of Sheep Health and was appointed Head of School in December 2011.
