Biography/ Background

Ming Hwa Ting is a doctoral candidate at the Centre for Asian Studies, the University of Adelaide. He is also the inaugural Bill Cowan-Barr Smith Library Fellow, and a member of the Pacific Forum-CSIS ‘Young Leaders' program. He has presented at various international conferences, most recently at the 18th New Zealand Asian Studies Conference, Wellington, in July 2009 and at the 6th International Convention of Asia Scholars, Daejung, South Korea, in August 2009. His previous works have been published by Academia Sinica, Australian Political Studies Association, and the New Zealand Asian Studies Association. He has been teaching at the School of Politics and the Centre for Asian Studies since 2007 at the University of Adelaide.
