  • Biography/ Background

    Following the completion of my Honours Degree in Information Technology, I started my career in higher education towards the late 2000’s. Over the last 15 years, this has predominantly been in the field of healthcare, providing high-level operational and administrative support.

    I joined the Open University’s School of Nursing in 2007, where I played a key role in a UK-wide project. Not only was this role rewarding and productive, it also highlighted the importance of educational institutions. I therefore decided to join the University of South Australia in 2010, shortly after migrating to Australia.

    My experience at the University of South Australia has allowed me to develop a wide range of skills, including event coordination, project management, website development, system implementation and the delivery of accredited training courses.

    I now work at the University of Adelaide, where I play a pivotal role in program delivery and student support within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. Working across multiple hospital precincts has allowed me to establish consistent procedures, improve processes and share good working practice across the organisation.

    Central to my approach is an aspiration that all learning, in one way or another, should have an impact on workplace practice and my passion is driven by keeping this end goal in mind. With a sound knowledge of higher education and a particular interest in the healthcare sector, I look forward to continuing my career in this area.
