Faculty Grants & Personnel Committee

The Committee comprises University and Clinical and Affiliate staff from North Terrace, North Western Adelaide Health Services and Women's and Children's Hospital precincts and two representatives from the Faculty of Science. Its major business is to assist the Research Committee in developing and implementing research policy for the Faculty and to allocate Medical Bequest Funds through a number of schemes such as new academic appointments, new research directions, research associateships, post-graduate travelling fellowships and research development awards for those who have just failed to obtain nationally competitive grants. In addition, the Committee is also asked to rank applications to the University for Faculty-based International Postgraduate Research Scholarships and Adelaide Scholarships International for postgraduate students, and the Adelaide Summer Research Scholarships for undergraduate students. It is also responsible for the assessment and ranking of the Florey Medical Research Fund Grants.
