FHS Postgraduate Research Expo - Closing date extension: Now 23 June 2008 - CLOSED!!!
Thank you to the 94 HDR students who have submitted poster abstracts and to the 8 HDR students who will be delivering an oral presentation!
The 2008 Research Expo is scheduled for 22 July this year in the National Wine Centre. Program (pdf 1008kB) of the FHS Postgraduate Research Expo.
The aim is to highlight the outstanding research being conducted by our higher degree students, introduce the Honours students to the breadth of research being carried out in the Faculty with the potential to align their research interests to a potential PhD supervisor and a similar strategy for our interstate and NZ potential PhD students who will be with us for a few days in that week.
There will be several prizes ($1000) for best poster and oral presentations.

2007 Event The inaugural Faculty Postgraduate Research Expo was held on 23 October 2007 in Bonython Hall. A total of 72 posters were exhibited by 63 postgraduate students faculty-wide.
The five best poster presenters (from left to right) were each awarded $500:

ARI Pty Ltd sponsored an additional award of $500 in the area of research commercialisation.
Kirsty Pringle School of Paediatrics & Reproductive Health, Discipline of Obstetrics & Gynaecology was awarded the ARI Pty Ltd prize. "IGF-II, uPA and Plasminogen, in combination, improve mouse embryo development and implantation"
