Course Code ENS 3025A Course Elder Conservatorium Chorale 3 part 1 Coordinating Unit Elder Conservatorium of Music Term Semester 1 Level Undergraduate Location/s North Terrace Campus Contact Up to 2.5 hours per week, plus additional rehearsals prior to concerts Prerequisites Audition Incompatible 5106 (pre-2002) Restrictions Priority is given to Music degree students but course is available to non-music students (by audition) Assessment individual graded assessments of relevant repertoire; 100% attendance and participation required except in cases of approved leave. 1. Develop musical performance skills in the context of choral ensemble rehearsals and concerts that display accuracy, fluency, advanced technical skills and a mature expressive sense along with a strong conceptual and interpretative understanding of the chosen and prescribed works

Learning & Teaching Modes
Student learning takes place with structured conductor-directed full ensemble rehearsals, student-directed sectional rehearsals, and the actual performances themselves.Workload
The information below is provided as a guide to assist students in engaging appropriately with the course requirements.
The workload for this course consists of:
• One 2.5 hour rehearsals per week
• Up to 3.5 hours of individual preparation of relevant vocal parts
A schedule of rehearsals and performances will be provided to students before week 1 of semester 1. This schedule lists ALL rehearsals and performances for the entire year and will be attached to this course profile.Learning Activities Summary

The nature of an ensemble such as this means that some rehearsals and all performances will occur outside of the regular weekly rehearsal time. -
