MUSICED 4100 - Honours Music Education Literature Review Project

North Terrace Campus - Semester 1 - 2015

The Literature Review Project seeks to provide a solid foundation with regard to seminal contributions to the music education literature in the latter part of the 20th century and the first part of the 21st century. Topics to be covered could include: music learning in early years, primary years, high school, adults; music for students with special needs; music learning in different contexts such as choral and instrumental ensembles; technology in music education; philosophical perspectives of music education; historical contexts for music education; developing creativity in music; assessment of musical learning; developments in music curriculum; music teacher education. Students are expected to critically explore three topics and to prepare an annotated bibliography for each topic.
