Adelaide Festival of Ideas

In 2021 we are delighted to be bringing the Adelaide Festival of Ideas to life, in partnership with Illuminate Adelaide.

Explore the Festival program

From Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 July, the Adelaide Festival of Ideas will celebrate the life of the mind, in support of the public value of ideas, thinking and innovation as foundations of civil society, an informed democracy and a robust economy.

The festival offers our community the chance to be engaged, challenged and inspired by the program of speakers and events. Most of the events are free to attend, ensuring the festival is accessible to everyone.

The Art of the Possible Festival

As part of the Adelaide Festival of Ideas, our students have launched the Art of the Possible Festival, designed to bring to life the University's creative outputs. This is an open-access, student-led festival that will run from 19 - 23 July 2021. It is presented in partnership with the University's Sia Furler Institute, the Andy Thomas Space Foundation and the Adelaide Festival of Ideas.
