Early conditional offer program
The early conditional offer program is open to Year 12 students from any school in South Australia. Students will need to self-nominate by registering to become members of the STEM Academy in order to gain access to all elements of the program. Students who are part of this program must meet the eligibility requirements below. Students will still need to apply to SATAC to receive their formal offer.
There are three tiers to the early conditional offer which is based on the entry requirements for the various degrees:
- Tier 1: Students who have completed SACE Stage 2 Digital Technologies (or IB equivalent)
- Tier 2: Students who have completed one or more SACE Stage 2 Science subjects (or IB equivalent)
- Also includes Tier 1 degrees
- Tier 3: Students who have completed SACE Stage 2 Mathematical Methods (or IB equivalent)
- Also includes Tier 1 and 2 degrees
- Tier 4: Students who have completed both SACE Stage 2 Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics (or IB equivalent)
- Also includes Tier 1, 2 and 3 degrees
Overview
The early conditional offer program is intended to provide prospective students with a conditional offer to study at University of Adelaide prior to them sitting their final exams and receiving their ATAR. The early conditional offer will be conditional on recipients meeting the minimum entry requirements (selection rank + prerequisites) for their degree of preference, selected from a list of eligible University of Adelaide STEM degrees. It is important to note that this is not considered an official offer of admission and all recipients will be required to submit a formal SATAC application in order to redeem their early offer.
STEM Academy students will be guaranteed a place in an eligible STEM degree they receive a SATAC offer for if they meet its minimum requirements for entry.
