If you’ve ever watched a crime drama, you’ll know how important it is to gather DNA samples from a crime scene ASAP. But how do the authorities know which ones to prioritise? Louise is applying machine learning to provide answers—and fast.

Her ‘recommender’ system will enhance crime-scene analysis by triaging exhibits to increase the likelihood of securing successful DNA profiles.
