Elite athlete Taleala represents Australia and wins gold!
Semester 1 has been a very busy time for Elite Athlete/Engineering Student Taleala McCarthy.
She has represented Australia and South Australia in Surf Boat Rowing competitions from Waihi Beach in NZ to Sydney in NSW and Scarborough in WA. Taleala’s team winnings include ASRL Surf Boat Rowing Championships U23 Division Bronze in Sydney as well as winning 8 from 8 races in Scarborough with the Glenelg Grenades which was the first female crew from SA to win gold and the first gold medal for SA in 40 years.
Congratulations and well done Taleala!
