2025 Peer Learning Ambassador / Lead Roles now open - Paid Honorarium!

If you're a current student, who has studied the HAPIA (Human Anatomy and Physiology IA) course OR the Introduction to Engineering course, are passionate about supporting peers and eager to contribute to the success of your fellow students – you are encouraged to apply for a Peer Learning Ambassador (PLA) or a PLA Lead role in Semester 1, 2025.

Peer Learning Ambassador Role Overview
  • Draw upon your first-hand experience in the course to share your own real-life perspectives, advice, and insightful tips and tricks in selected tutorials throughout the semester.
  • Offer feedback to students and be a sounding board on their assessments.
  • Provide recommendations (like industry-related clubs, events, societies and networks) to help students transition into University.
  • Ensure you are prepared to facilitate or present at sessions.
  • This role is an in-person position, based at the North Terrace campus.
PLA – HAPIA (Up to $380 Honorarium) x 24 roles
PLA – Introduction to Engineering (Up to $470 Honorarium) x 10 roles
PLA LEADS – HAPIA / Introduction to Engineering (Up to $1,300 Honorarium) x 4 roles
  • Include all responsibilities of PLAs
  • Assist in preparing and/or checking any material for tutorials – ensure sessions (and PLAs) are prepared.
  • Be a POC for and coordinate PLAs.
  • Commitment:
    • HAPIA Leads - Oversee / Attend 10x tutorials in Weeks 3, 6, 11.
    • INTRO TO ENG & HAPIA Leads - Oversee / Present 2x Intro to Eng tutorials in Weeks 3, 10. PLUS Oversee / Attend 2x HAPIA tutorials in Weeks 3, 6, 11.
