Barr Smith Library Reading Room Redecoration
The BSL reading room will be closed for approximately four weeks while the stunning ceiling receives a specialist clean and the walls and columns are repainted. The very tall scaffolding being used for the redecoration has revealed a treasure trove of historic paper planes left by generations of students.

Access changes to Library Level 2 North
Starting Monday 3 April 2023, the Library will begin its refurbishment of Level 2 of the Barr Smith Library. The first stage of the refurbishment will be in the Reading Room.
