A range of prestigious scholarships are available to eligible University of Adelaide students studying overseas.

New Colombo Plan

The New Colombo Plan Scholarship is a signature initiative of the Australian Government that aims to lift knowledge of the Indo Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region. Scholars are encouraged to undertake study, Language Training and an Internship and/or Mentorship for up to 19 months.

  • Degree: Undergraduate
  • Location: Indo-Pacific
  • Duration: 1-2 semesters for exchange. NCP funding is also available for short programs.

Westpac Asian Exchange

The Westpac Asian Exchange Scholarship supports students who are interested in Asia, and want to actively contribute to Australia's success in Asia in their chosen field. It presents young Australians with the exciting opportunity to spend up to two semesters studying at a leading Asian university and develop global leadership skills.

  • Degree: Undergraduate
  • Location: Asia
  • Duration: 1-2 semesters

Rhodes

Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting outstanding students at the University of Oxford, UK. Rhodes seeks young women and men of outstanding intellect, character, leadership and commitment to service.  The Rhodes Scholarships support students who demonstrate a strong propensity to emerge as 'leaders for the world's future'. The basic tenure of the Scholarship is two years.

  • Degree: Postgraduate Coursework & Postgraduate Research
  • Location: Oxford University, UK
  • Duration: 2 years, may apply for a 3rd

Fulbright

The Fulbright Program is the flagship foreign exchange scholarship program of the United States, aimed at increasing binational collaboration, cultural understanding, and the exchange of ideas. In its seventy-year history, more than 370,000 students, academics, and professionals have received Fulbright Scholarships to study, teach, or conduct research, and promote bilateral collaboration and cultural empathy.

  • Degree: Postgraduate Coursework & Postgraduate Research
  • Location: USA
  • Duration: Varies
