Course overview
Building on the concepts and skills acquired in Introduction to Film and Television this course will investigate Australian National Cinema, broader screen production and contemporary screen audiences through the making of online content. Students will explore key political, social, economic, and industrial drivers of screen production in Australia, and reflect this in their own work as screen producers.

- Produce a web series pilot as a method of critical enquiry into Australian screen production and audiences.
- Evaluate their own filmmaking practice and subjectivity in the context of important trends and movements in Australian screen production
- Articulate and reflect on audience trends when engaging in the construction of an Australian screen story.
- Apply craft skills ((Cinematography, Editing, Directing, Sound Design, and other Technical Areas) and professional practice skills to produce a narrative screen idea, informed by insights gained from an analysis of course material.
