French - Australian connection
Stéphane Mahuteau - invited speaker at a roundtable on Unemployment Insurance: towards universal coverage vs higher protection, hosted by the University of Strasbourg, France.
The roundtable discussion was on whether France’s new system for unemployment benefits should remain insurance based or move towards a system like that in Australia. Stéphane was an invited speaker to discuss the Australian system. Over 350 people attended the event, including the Secretary of the Minister of Employment, MPs, representatives of employers and heads of trade unions.
The roundtable took place at the National School of Administration (ENA) in Strasbourg and was organised by the Institute of Labour, University of Strasbourg, October 2018.
