Cornmeal Agar

For the routine cultivation and identification of fungi.

Ingredients

Cornmeal agar (BD) 8.5 g

Distilled water 500 ml

Method

Mix dry ingredients into 100 ml H₂O, boil remaining water

Add boiling water to mixture and bring to boil.

Dispense for slopes.

Autoclave for 10 minutes at 121C, then slope on racks.
