Internal Transfers

Many students change programs during their study and for many reasons.

You may decide on a different career path or interest or your program may not be what you thought it would be. Perhaps you want a second try at getting into a program that you missed out on the first time around. You can even add a program to your current study load and get a Double Degree.

Applications for domestic students for internal transfer into a new undergraduate program (or concurrent programs) for Semester 2, 2024 (and Trimester 2/3, 2024) are now open. Please read below under ‘Important Information’ for further details.

  • Important information
    • The closing date for Semester 2 applications will be 5pm Monday 22nd July 2024.
    • The closing date for Trimester 2 applications will be 5pm Monday 20th May 2024.
    • The closing date for Trimester 3 applications will be 5pm Monday 2nd September 2024.

    Please note, late applications may not be accepted.

    • When you submit your application successfully, you will see a web page with the details of what you have submitted. You will not receive an email acknowledgement of your application.
    • Offers will be made on a rolling basis from late April onwards, if Semester 1, 2024 results are not required to finalise assessment on your application.
    • If your Semester 1, 2024 results are needed to finalise assessment, offers will be made in early to mid-July, once Semester 1 results have been released.
    • Not all programs are available via internal transfer. If you cannot see your desired program in the drop-down list, you will need to apply for the program via SATAC. Please note, some programs are also not available at midyear.
    • If you have lodged an internal transfer application for Semester 2, 2024 (or Trimester 2/3, 2024) and have now changed your mind, please email our Domestic Admissions team, and advise that you wish to withdraw your application.

  • Postgraduate coursework transfer information
