About Course Outlines
The Course Outlines System stores and manages textual information required to publish Course Outlines on the University website for all currently offered coursework courses.
It is a public facing system, available to any current or prospective students and is required to enable informed decisions to be made about current or future enrolment.
Course Outlines are required for each course, offering and term in a given year.
The Course Outline will be informed by data from the PeopleSoft Course Catalogue and enables the entry and maintenance of additional textual data relevant to learning resources, teaching and learning activities and assessment within academic areas.
The system:
- Provides a single source of Course Outline information that uses base course data from the PeopleSoft Course Catalogue.
- Gives responsibility to authorised Faculty and School staff to maintain ‘free text’ data to ensure accurate and up to date information for publication.
- Automates the update of changes made in the Course Catalogue to Course Outlines.
There are no Course Outlines for the following: VETS career, Non-Award career, Research career and Exchange courses.
