Temporary Accommodation

It is important that students who choose to book temporary accommodation make finding a long term option a priority on arrival and are encouraged to visit the Accommodation Service for an overview of available options and access to the rental database.

The Accommodation Service is open Monday to Friday; 9am – 5pm, on Level 3, in Hub Central for students to drop in and meet a specialist Accommodation Officer to discuss all accommodation options, including information to help them to successfully access the private rental market, including share accommodation.

Securing private rental accommodation, including share accommodation can take up to ten days depending on the rental market conditions at the time.

Students may book an airport pick up service through the University. The service includes a University representative to meet students as they exit immigration before guiding them to their allocated hire car and transferred to their nominated accommodation destination.

The service should only be booked when students have confirmed their flight arrival information and accommodation destination. Fees are charged for accompanying passengers (non-students) and excess luggage requirements, and will be calculated and paid at the time of booking.

Alternatively, Adelaide international airport is a twenty minute taxi ride to the city. Taxis are readily available at the designated taxi rank which is located to the right hand side of the main terminal exit.
