National Student Volunteer Week
Every year more than 1200 student volunteers contribute 28,000 hours of their time and skills for the University community. This year during National Student Volunteer Week we celebrated and thanked them for their efforts with a special afternoon tea with The Right Honourable the Lord Mayor of the City of Adelaide, Ms Sandy Verschoor.
Poor housing leaves its mark on our mental health for years to come
Researchers at the University's Hugo Centre for Migration and Population Research are part of a team researching how housing disadvantage is increasing mental health burden. A recent systematic review of the evidence showed housing disadvantage is harmful for mental health and its effects remain well after housing situations are improved.

Indigenous students engineer careers
Twenty nine young Indigenous students from across Australia immersed themselves in the world of renewable energy, race car engineering and structural engineering in early-July as part of a partnership between Santos and the University of Adelaide.
