Research Tuesdays: Revolutionising radiation protection

radiation

Radiation can save lives—and harm them. It helps treat cancer and power protective technologies, but exposure can be fatal.

Nature, it turns out, may be our best defence.

University of Adelaide researchers have used a daisy-like herb derivative to develop the first multi-organ pill aimed at radiation protection. The ‘Daisy Project’ intends to shield patients during treatment, civilians during accidents, and military personnel in combat zones.

Join us in July to learn about this promising plant-to-patient pipeline.
