Professional and Continuing Education at the University of Adelaide has launched a suite of online short courses designed to make workforce training easier, more flexible, and more affordable for employers.

From today, employers will be able to enrol cohorts of four or more staff in courses on a diverse range of topics, such as ‘Managing Virtual and Hybrid Teams’, ‘Harnessing AI in Marketing and Communication’ and ‘Data Analytics for Managers’.

Mark Charnley, General Manager of Professional and Continuing Education, said the new offering reflects the evolving needs of contemporary workplaces.

“Workplaces are changing rapidly, and so are the skills people need to succeed,” Mark said.

“Our online short courses offer a practical way for organisations to upskill their workforce, by giving people access to quality, university-led learning that fits around their day-to-day work.”

The first release of self-paced courses are mostly four to six weeks in duration and generally require just one to two hours of learning per week — making them a perfect fit for busy teams juggling full workloads.

All content is delivered online through the University’s trusted learning platform, Canvas, and is taught by the University’s world-leading academics and trusted partners.

"Online training offers real advantages to employers. It provides a consistent learning experience for every staff member, supports flexible working arrangements, and delivers measurable return on investment without the cost of traditional classroom training."Mark Charnley
