Sports week and VC Cup


Monday 20 to Friday 24 October

Sports Week and the Vice-Chancellor's Cup returns for 2025 with a variety of sports and activities to get involved in. Compete for bragging rights across a week of different sports, looking to become the winner of the Sports Week shield, culminating in the 17th annual Vice Chancellor's Cup 800m relay and being awarded the VC Cup trophy.

The Fourth International Forum on Hydrogen Production Technologies

Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 October

HyPT-4 will bring together over 70 experts from around the world to compare the relative merits of alternative CO2-free hydrogen technologies. The forum will continue to explore in depth, a range of current and emerging zero carbon emission (CO2-free) hydrogen production technologies.

The University is hosting the 2025 Latin American Film Festival. 13 films will be shown free of charge, after hours and on weekends. There is a great range of countries and genres being showcased. Beyond the lecture - creating active learning experiences

In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore the principles of flipped learning and how to reframe your course to encourage greater student engagement. Through discussion and hands-on activities, you’ll examine effective strategies for designing and facilitating learning across both online and on-campus environments, and how to make intentional use of educational technologies to support these approaches. This seminar covers practical ways of noticing early signs of burnout and how to respond in a way that helps wellbeing, with an emphasis on optimising energy. It is specifically designed for high performance organisations, where internal and client demands are high, often requiring their people to work to tight timeframes and provide high quality, robust, fact-based deliverables. With COP30’s Action Agenda placing “Transitioning Energy, Industry and Transport” at centre stage, secure Australia-to-EU flows of critical minerals are vital to Europe’s net-zero rollout. The EU is deploying its Green Deal Industrial Plan, Net-Zero Industry Act and forthcoming Critical Raw Materials Act to meet surging demand, while Australia seeks to convert geological advantage into low-carbon value chains.
