Sports week and VC Cup
Monday 20 to Friday 24 October
Sports Week and the Vice-Chancellor's Cup returns for 2025 with a variety of sports and activities to get involved in. Compete for bragging rights across a week of different sports, looking to become the winner of the Sports Week shield, culminating in the 17th annual Vice Chancellor's Cup 800m relay and being awarded the VC Cup trophy.
The Fourth International Forum on Hydrogen Production Technologies
Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 October
HyPT-4 will bring together over 70 experts from around the world to compare the relative merits of alternative CO2-free hydrogen technologies. The forum will continue to explore in depth, a range of current and emerging zero carbon emission (CO2-free) hydrogen production technologies.
Julia Gillard Public Lecture 2025

Former Prime Minister of Australia the Hon Julia Gillard AC will facilitate an informed conversation on how the rapidly changing geopolitical environment and rise of disinformation is impacting Australia, our foreign policy, development assistance and our universities, and how these factors might be leveraged for better outcomes.
Elder After Hours - Guitarissimo
Saturday 25 October
A delight for lovers of classical guitar, this annual showcase concert features an array of works for solo guitar and small chamber groups, culminating in a performance by the Elder Conservatorium Guitar Ensemble.

Education at the End of Empire
A keynote lecture by Professor Leon Tikly, UNESCO Chair and Director of the Perivoli Research Centre at the University of Bristol. Revisiting his seminal work Education and the New Imperialism, Professor Tikly will explore education’s evolving role in today’s fractured global order. The Whale - The play that made a splash
Big-hearted and fiercely funny, The Whale is the story of a man’s last chance at redemption, and of finding beauty in the most unexpected places. Charlie cannot stop eating to the detriment of everyone around him, including his long-estranged daughter.
