  • University of Adelaide Research Scholarship Divisional Scholarships

    Eligibility usually requires a minimum of a Second Class Honours degree or equivalent and applicants must be Citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia prior to the closing date.

    Scholarships are offered on the basis of academic merit and Faculties may also consider area of research when selecting recipients.

    Discussion with a potential supervisor is also recommended prior to application for a Divisional Scholarship.

    Value: $27,596 annum (2019 rate) tax free for up to 3 years (indexed annually).

  • Master of Philosophy ( No Honours)

    Applications for the Master of Philosophy (No Honours) Scholarships are accepted in the Mid Year and Major Round of applications.

    These Scholarships providing a living allowance for a period of 2 years, and are directed towards candidates who have completed and been awarded a relevant Bachelor Degree or equivalent with an achieved minimum of a distinction average and have not completed an Honours Degree.

    Value: $22,500pa

  • University of Adelaide Special Circumstances Scholarship Multidisciplinary

    These scholarships provide a living allowance equivalent to an Research Training Program Scholarship, a Research Training Scheme place and allowances such as relocation, thesis and sick/maternity leave.

    The University currently offers two 'special circumstances scholarships' equivalent to Research Training Program Scholarships that are available to students who do not meet the normal scholarship criteria and whose prior academic performance may have been seriously disadvantaged as a result of exceptional circumstances such as a disability, sickness or heavy care duties. Applications from Indigenous Australians are encouraged.

  • The Grain Producers SA Agriculture Scholarship

    Applications are invited for the following scholarship leading to the degree of PhD – Global Food Studies in the Discipline of Global Food Studies, Faculty of Professions.

    The scholarship is supported by The Grain Producers SA (GPSA); supporting the Peter Waite Scholarship for Excellence in Agriculture initiative.

    Field of Study: Field of studies includes agricultural economics, natural resource economics, behavioural economics and applied economics.

    Eligibility:Applications are open to both domestic and international applicants who are acceptable as candidates for a PhD degree at the University of Adelaide. Candidates will also qualify for, and need to apply for an RTPS and Divisional scholarship in the Faculty of Professions in the Major round closing 31 October 2017. These scholarships have a stipend of $27,082 per annum (2018 rate) tax free for up to 3 years (indexed annually).

    GPSA Stipend:The GPSA supplementary scholarship will be from 2018 to 2020 and has a stipend of $20,311 pa with $9,689 per annum for research and operating funds, which is on top of the stipend from the RTPS or  Divisional scholarship. The supplementary scholarship is likely to be tax exempt, subject to Taxation Office approval
