The University is committed to providing staff with access to information, training, and assistance to support wellbeing.

Throughout September, you’ll have access to self-service health checks at our North Terrace, Waite and Roseworthy campuses. Use the SISU Health Station for a quick, easy and free assessment of your cardiovascular and metabolic health. Then, use the results to take proactive steps towards better health.

R U OK? Day this Thursday 12 September is a national initiative to promote meaningful conversations. This year’s theme Ask R U OK? Any Day encourages you to regularly check-in with your network throughout the year. I encourage you to participate in local events or take some time to connect with your peers and colleagues.

Our wellbeing calendar this month focuses on stress management and resilience. Access some tips and tricks on how you can reduce your stress and boost your wellness. A further source of information and inspiration is the monthly Wellbeing@Adelaide newsletter. Subscribe to receive up-to-date information about events, activities, and resources that support you to prioritise your health and wellbeing.

For those interested in fitness, join us for Sports Week, hosted by Adelaide University Sport and Fitness from 14 – 18 October at the North Terrace campus. This year’s event includes dynamic sports and activities, culminating in the 16th Annual Vice-Chancellor’s Cup — the race that stops the campus! Team registrations are now open.

Lastly, a reminder that all staff at the University, including those working within the Integration Management Office, can access our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This confidential service provides support for you and your immediate family, helping address issues that may impact your wellbeing.

Look after yourself and those around you.
