Union House restaurant name

Over 50% of respondents in the recent poll chose Taikunthi, the Kaurna word meaning ‘coming together’ or ‘united together in partnership’, symbolic of people meeting and eating, with a nod to our upcoming merger. Taikunthi (pronounced Turkindi) will open later this year along with four function rooms. Naming the new Union House restaurant - staff survey

The new food and beverage offering on Level 5 of Union House is due to open later this year and it needs a name. Please vote for your favourite from the proposed shortlist. Voting closes Friday 26 April, and the name will be announced shortly afterwards. More about this project.

Uni Bar closure

The Uni Bar will be closed until Tuesday 18 July due to Union House building works occurring during for much of the mid-semester break. Uni Bar will reopen on Wednesday 19 July.

Feedback on the new staff-focused food and beverage venue in Union House has been collated. Clear themes include: the importance of a staff-focused space; the need for somewhere to relax, work and discuss as well as eat and entertain; convenient opening hours; affordability; and a modern, relaxed, lounge feel. Old Unibar Closure - Union House

The Old Unibar on level 5 of Union House will be closed for the next 12 months as part of the rejuvenation of this heritage-listed venue. New facilities will be coming online in mid-late 2024.

New Union House staff survey
