The webinar explored the prevalence of dishonest advertising and disinformation at election time - a growing problem compounded by the proliferation of social media and other online forms of political communication.

The webinar explored the character and effect of disinformation campaigns and attempts to regulate in a range of established democracies. It concluded that Australia could provide a model for the world in regulating truth in election advertising, drawing on our tradition of bold electoral innovation.

The speaker panel: Professor Lisa Hill, Ravi Baltutis and Max Douglass

A recording is now available.
