Cultural Policy

The Cultural Policy Program brings together artists and researchers to develop policy to sustain and build the performing arts ecosystem. As we emerge from the damage sustained by the Covid-19 pandemic, we seek imaginative solutions for a sector in crisis.

Central questions are:

  • How do we foster our performing arts ecosystem and ensure its sustainability?
  • How do we measure the value of the performing arts in terms other than those of economic rationalism?

Focal points include:

  • Technological disruption and the performing arts
  • Changing audience demographics
  • Community arts practice
  • Aesthetic education
  • Culture and wellbeing
