Aboriginal Heritage Project

This Australian Research Council funded and award winning project was established in 2014 in an effort to collaborate with Australian Indigenous communities to reconstruct their genetic history via ground-breaking research.

The Science Excellence Awards have recognised the efforts of several years of work, its many collaborators, our funding sponsors, and Indigenous communities by bestowing the State's Excellence in Research Collaboration award (2018).  The study was also nationally recognised with the Eureka Prize for Excellence in Interdisciplinary Scientific Research  (2017).
