IPAS Research Open Day

IPAS Open Day experiment

This year the IPAS RESEARCH OPEN DAY again proudly showcased IPAS world leading research as well as offering all STEM students the opportunity to witness the state-of-the-art research facilities at IPAS up close. The event highlight was the IPAS Show ‘n’ Tell which emphasized the  IPAS transdisciplinary approach to science, where we proudly host over 200 physicists, chemists, biologists and engineers under one roof. This year the selection of 5 demonstrations represented IPAS: Laser Radio, Interferometer , Protein Structure, Radiation Sensing and Abell chemistry team. It was so rewarding to be overwhelmed with positive feedback and gratitude from students and teachers who were fortunate to attend the event. The day was a huge success. IPAS has become a popular STEM advocate to all students and teachers but more importantly the event proudly proclaims that IPAS is a unique environment to do postgraduate research, not only with access to state-of-the-art facilities and world leading experts but also real industry partnership opportunities that offer fantastic job prospects down the track. The success of this event is credited to staff and students who voluntarily contribute their time to showcase IPAS on the day, especially to the following members:
