IPAS/CNBP Resist-free Nanoimprint technique featured in Applied Materials Today

Nanostructure patterning on optical fibers enables miniaturized optrodes for photonic and plasmonic applications. The IPAS/CNBP research team, led by Dr Peipei Jia and Prof Heike Ebendorff-Heidepriem has developed a resist-free nanoimprint technique for fabrication of plasmonic nanostructures on plastic optical fiber tips. This cutting-edge research abandons resist used in previous fiber-imprinting techniques and enables mass production. The resistless nanoimprint technique offers a practical and scalable solution for realizing nanostructure arrays on optical fibers for plasmonic applications.
