Peer Assisted Study Sessions
PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions)
The aim of PASS is to enable students to understand and apply key concepts in their study courses, and to achieve their best possible academic results.
"You can forget facts but you can't forget understanding"
[Professor Mazur, Harvard University]
PASS classes are FREE and are facilitated by undergraduate students who have mastered their respective PASS course.
PASS is relevant for all undergraduate students, whether to improve from a Distinction to a High Distinction; a Pass to a Credit or to obtain a pass level.
Watch the video to find out more about PASS.
You don't have to enroll or register, just find the class time that suits you and come along whenever you can. You can come to a session at any time during the semester.
We have loyalty cards to encourage regular attendance. If you attend 8 or more classes during the semester you will be in with a chance to win one of 3 prizes.
Our evaluation of PASS at this University shows a consistent pattern of academic improvement for most students who attend. The more regularly students attend, the more academic success they achieve.
