Giving Day 2023
Today is our first Giving Day. It is an important day in the University calendar, and one I have been championing since becoming Vice-Chancellor. This day encapsulates the spirit of giving, unity, and positive change, and allows us to celebrate the generosity and commitment of our community.

R training opportunities
Three training workshops in R are available to staff: Exploring Chi-square and correlation in R (Tuesday 14 November), Traversing t tests in R (Wednesday 15 November), and Exploring ANOVAs in R (Thursday 16 November). More information.

Global Youth Committee
Faculty of ABLE student Emily Parsons is one of 17 young leaders nationally selected to sit on a Global Youth Committee established by the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership and chaired by Julia Gillard. The Committee aims to bridge the gap between the experiences of young people and the policies that dictate their lives.
StudyAdelaide International Student Awards
International students from the University of Adelaide have been awarded for their academic excellence and community engagement. Adelaide Dental School PhD student Taseef Farook has won the Overall Recognition for International Student of the Year award and the Postgraduate Research category. Other category winners were Hania Abdul Baseer (Undergraduate), Pornthip Srisantisuk(Community Engagement), On Yin Chan (Peer Support), Gavin Quek (Rising Star Alumni) and Adelaide University Vietnamese Student Association won the Student Association of the Year.
