TEQSA application submitted
On 15 January, the Legal & Regulatory Domain submitted the bulk of our application to the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). This is an important achievement in progressing the necessary registration of the new Adelaide University under the Federal Government’s TEQSA Act.
The near 400-page submission covered the seven Domains under the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF), as well as providing important evidence supporting the application. This was informed by a series of workshops with TEQSA and a formal presentation of curriculum to a panel of experts. We will need to provide additional material to TEQSA in the coming months, however the substantial part of the application has been delivered.
The submission was slightly unconventional, given it was for the amalgamation of two existing universities in Australia. This undoubtedly represents one of many ways that the new Adelaide University will be leading national higher education as we evolve to our Target State in 2030.
