Mawson Lakes Fellowship Program
The MLFP Research Grants aim to develop research collaboration between the three South Australian Universities (Adelaide, Flinders, and South Australia) and three Universities in Japan (Nagoya, Tsukuba and Waseda). Funds will support international activities, including virtual activities, leading to high quality research collaborations in the scope of the Mawson Lakes Fellowship Program.
The objective of the MLFP is to provide financial support for the purposes of conducting research in urban planning, urban design, environmental management and related disciplines jointly between Australia and Japan.
These awards are designed to provide pump-priming and early contact partner outreach with the expectation that they will lead on to more substantive engagement resulting in high quality outputs, such as international research training for graduate students or early career faculty, publication of joint papers from collaborative research, or follow-on applications for joint research funding.
Proposals for virtual collaborations, such as joint virtual workshops or conferences, will also be considered.
Funding: Up to AUD$25,000 per project. A maximum of two grants per SA University is available.
The deadline for applications is Friday 1 November 2024.
